Blue Berry Chia Seed Oatmeal


Blueberry Chia Oatmeal

(Serving Size 1)



  • 1 Cup of Old Fashion Oats (Quaker Oats, 100% Whole Grain)
  • 1 tsp Salt (Optional)
  • 1/2 Cup of Water or Choice of Milk (I like water)
  • 1/2 of cup Blueberries
  • 1 tbsp of Chia Seeds
  • 1 tsp of Cinnamon (Organic Fair Trade Ceylon Cinnamon from whole foods)
  • 1 tbsp of Honey (Organic Raw Honey)



In a saucepan, stir oats into boiling water. Then add salt (optional). I personally do not add salt. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand until desired consistency. For a Creamier Texture, combine Oats and Salt (optional) in cold water; bring to a boil. I personally don't like my oats too creamy, but to each his own :) Then add Blueberries and Chia Seeds. Sprinkle some Ceylon Cinnamon. I like ceylon cinnamon better than regular cinnamon and heard it has better health benefits. Top with a sprinkle of Honey. (If you're watching you're weight or want to keep your sugar down you may not want to add honey all the time but every now and then i treat myself. Tastes Yummy :)
