Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 T-Bone Steak about 1" thick
- 1 Idaho Potato
- 1 tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1 Garlic Clove Minced
- 1 tbsp of fine chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp of fine chopped Cilantro
- 1 tbsp of fine Chopped Chili Pepper
- 2 tbsp of butter
- Salt, Pepper and Cayenne Pepper to your taste
Preparation:
1. The Potatoes
Cut the potatoes in a rectangular shape about one inch thick. Season it with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and olive oil. Place them in a baking pan. Preheat the oven to 450°F and place the potatoes inside the oven for about 30 min or until crispy and golden brown.
2. The Steak
Simply season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides to your taste. In a frying pan add 1 tbsp of olive oil and seared the steak on both sides for about a minute each side.
Then place it in the oven at 450°F for about 7 minutes for medium well. Temperature inside the steak when measure with a thermometer should read about 155°F.
3. The Butter
In a Small bowl, add 2 tbsp of butter. Then add the minced garlic, 1 tbsp of chopped onion, 1 tbsp of chilli pepper, and 1 tbsp of chopped cilantro.
Mix all the ingredients well and put it in a squared small container and place in the freezer to be used later
4. The Layout
Place the steak on a white dinner plate and add the butter on top. With a torch gently melt the butter on top of the steak.
Add 1 tbsp of the butter on the bottom of the plate where you will be placing the potatoes then stack it up one on top of the other like on a Jenga game. Enjoy!!
