Ingredients:
- 1 lb of top round steak thin sliced
- 1/8 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of mince ginger
- Black Pepper to your taste
- 1/2 cup of Thai style chili sauce
- 2 stems of Broccoli
- 5 Bok Choy Leaves
- 6 Sweet Pepper (yellow, red, orange)
- 1/8 cup sesame seed oil
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 2 cups of jasmine rice
- 1/8 cup of rice vinager
Preparation:
1. The Beef
Cut the Beef into Strips about 1/2 inch tick and place it in a bowl. Season with Soy Sauce, mince ginger and black pepper to your taste. Keep it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before deep frying. This will allow the meet to adsorb some flavor.
Bring a sauce pan or a Chinese Wok to medium high heat and add the half a cup of vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the beef until golden brown. Once is done, keep aside for later use.
2. The Vegetables
While the beef is deep frying, cut the Broccoli and Bok Choy to your prefer size. Medium size if possible, so it cook more evenly. Cut the color Peppers into thin strips. this will give your dish live and color. Always rinse your veggies before use.
3. The Stir Fry
Bring a deep frying pan or a Chinese wok to high heat. Add the 1/8 cup of sesame seed oil. Once the oil is hot, deep fry the veggies starting with the broccoli first for about one minute. Then add the pepper and keep deep frying for about another minute.
Add the Bok choy and stir fry all the veggies for about another minute. Do not over cook them because the veggies will become soggy. Last add the beef follow by the Thai Style Chili Sauce and stir fry for 2 more minutes.
4. The Jasmine Rice
Get a deep sauce pan and add 2 cups of water and boil. Add 2 cups of jasmine rice (make sure to rinse it two times) Add the rice inside the boiling water and let it cook over medium heat for about 5-6minutes.
Note: make sure to fell a grain of rice to see if it is tender
Use a wooden spatula to compress the rice into a dome shape. Let it cook until tender. Once cooked, place it in a bowl and add 2 tbs of rice vinegar and fix it together.
